The De Golyer Award
This award recognizes distinguished and outstanding service to SPE, the profession of engineering and geology, and the petroleum industry. No person should be awarded the DeGolyer Medal solely on the basis of their technical achievements.
The Distinguished Service Award
This award recognizes Society-wide contributions that exhibit such exceptional devotion of time, effort, thought, and action as to set them apart from other contributions. This award may be awarded posthumously.
No more than one person is given one of these awards each year – so it is VERY selective. You can find a list of past recipients on the www.SPE.org web site.
The North Sea Regional Award
This award recognizes distinguished and outstanding service to SPE in the North Sea Region. Past winners have been champions of the Forum Series, outstanding chairmen of local sections and long-time organisers of SPE conferences.
