SPE London has a number of committees which focus on various aspects of what we do. From learning opportunities and networking for our members to inspiring school children through our outreach work, as well as special interest groups, events and activies. Continuing Education
The SPE London Continuing Education Committee looks after continuing education opportunities for our members to help them develop professional knowledge throughout their career.
Communications and Marketing
The Role of Communications and Marketing Committee is to develop and implement communications and marketing strategy for the SPE London Section. This includes promoting SPE mission, values and vision; share important news around membership, publications, education, events, volunteering, and more.
Net Zero
The SPE London Net Zero Committee has been established to inform and engage the membership on sustainability and how the oil and gas industry is supporting activities to achieve Net Zero. The committee will strive to build better links with the wider energy community (renewables, academia, institutions, finance, government) where needed to achieve this.
Students
SPE London section aims to encourage interest and understanding of the E&P industry among students from primary age right through to university and beyond.
Young Professional Committee
Focused on creating events aimed at E&P professionals under 35 years old/with less than 10 years industry experience, the group hosts technical, networking and social events, and provide useful resources and links
Women in Energy
Women in Energy (WiE) is a subcommittee of the SPE London Board run by volunteers that has the objective of promoting gender balance in the energy sector.
