Following a highly successful inaugural event, SPE Aberdeen, in collaboration with the SPE DSEA (Data Science and Engineering Analytics) technical section, is excited to announce the return of its one-day workshop on Artificial Intelligence, focused on real-world, practical applications of AI in the energy sector.
Join us as we move beyond the buzzwords and explore how AI is delivering measurable value across the energy sector. From automated report generation and intelligent data analysis to decision support systems and predictive maintenance, AI is no longer confined to pilot projects. It’s being embedded into daily workflows, transforming the way engineers and organisations work. This workshop will showcase proven AI implementations, drawing on lessons from both success stories and setbacks. We’ll explore how companies ranging from innovative startups to major operators and service providers are integrating AI to improve operational efficiency, reduce risk and unlock new value.
Equally, we won’t shy away from the hard truths. When AI projects fail to deliver, it’s often due to poor data foundations, unclear goals or unrealistic expectations. Our sessions will provide candid, experience-based insights into what works, what doesn’t and why.
