The London SPE Net Zero Gaia committee, with thanks to our sponsor ERC Evolution, is very excited to bring you this lunch and learn.
Policy drives change, and change is needed for the UK to meet its net-zero targets. If you are interested in how policy and regulations can help the UK oil and gas industry transition to net zero and integrate with other parts of the energy sector, then please join us for this session.
The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) regulates and influences the oil, gas, and carbon storage industries while aiming to integrate other sectors such as renewables and hydrogen.
Stuart Walters, Rebecca Allan and Ross Taylor from NSTA will join us to explain how policy can deliver the necessary change throughout the oil and gas lifecycle, from ensuring that new developments align with Net Zero, to stewarding producing assets to minimise emissions, through to effective decommissioning to maximise the use of existing infrastructure for future purposes.
This promises to be a fascinating guide to policies and regulations that will not only influence how the oil and gas industry operates but also helps deliver a Just Energy Transition and maximises synergies to meet Net Zero.
This is a virtual event, via Zoom. It will be held on Tuesday 11 April 2023 from 12.30-13.30 BST /UTC+1
The event is free to attend but registration is required via this Eventbrite link.
