As North Sea O&G reached 50-years of age (in 2015) it was clear that continued resource development would require step-changes in the efficiency of completion approaches. Low-cost, multi-stage and efficient deployment of conventional fracturing in an offshore, platform/rig-based, dry/wet tree environment was desperately required.
At that point a strategic journey began, with a suite of steps, since taken, that have delivered real cost-effective access to stranded & challenged reserves. This presentation will recount key parts of that journey and the opportunities and future for mature basins that await as a result.
