SPE London YP section is excited to invite you to a technical paper seminar (virtual event): Low-salinity waterflooding in carbonates: Revealing the underlying mechanisms with digital core analysis
Low-salinity waterflooding (LSW) is one of the most promising enhanced oil recovery techniques due to its relatively low cost and minimal environmental impact.
AGENDA
Ahmed Selem will present some findings from his PhD project on LSW, combining core flooding and digital core analysis. The talk will highlight the displacement processes and wettability changes associated with LSW. It will also discuss the difference in recovery factors beween injecting low-salinity water at the start of field production (secondary mode) compared to injecting after seawater (tertiary mode).
