POSTPONED……….SPE Technical Talks: Tight-Gas/Tight-Oil — Mopping-up Mature Offshore Basins

We have made the difficult decision to postpone our event scheduled for this Thursday, 23 April 2026.

This is due to the planned London Underground strikes (https://tfl.gov.uk/campaign/strikes), which are expected to cause significant travel disruption across the city. We want to ensure that all our guests can attend safely and without the stress of major transport delays.

We would love for you to join us on the rescheduled date of 23 July 2026 5:30 pm.

As North Sea O&G reached 50-years of age (in 2015) it was clear that continued resource development would require step-changes in the efficiency of completion approaches. Low-cost, multi-stage and efficient deployment of conventional fracturing in an offshore, platform/rig-based, dry/wet tree environment was desperately required.

At that point a strategic journey began, with a suite of steps, since taken, that have delivered real cost-effective access to stranded & challenged reserves. This presentation will recount key parts of that journey and the opportunities and future for mature basins that await as a result.
