Dear members:
Due to COVID-19, we’re all missing out on face-to-face discussions about our industry, including new uncertainties.
We use Zoom’s breakout rooms to allow small group discussions, as people feel more comfortable talking in a group of 5 instead of a group of 50. This event allows networking and discussions between members of SPE London.
After an introduction, you will be broken into small groups of 3-5 people to chat about topics related to our work, careers and industry. These have been selected to spark good discussions with no right or wrong answers. Every ten minutes you’ll be put with new people to discuss a new topic, allowing you to meet around 15 people and get a range of ideas and opinions.
The aim is to replicate the small group chats we have at in-person events. Each breakout room’s discussion will develop differently. We will have conversation starter topics that may include:
Recent industry news
Media/social pressures on our industry related to the Energy Transition
Delays to FID and new field approvals with net zero (e.g. Cambo)
How we can assist new staff and graduates in our companies
There is no charge for the event, but it will be limited to 50 people.
Organised by Adam Borushek (RISC Advisory) and Adam Zalewski (bp), on behalf of SPE London.
